Clay & Ball is a ceramics studio nestled in the heart of Wānaka, New Zealand. Each piece is handmade from New Zealand stoneware clay, finished with natural, earthy glazes that reflect the textures, colours, and rhythms of the landscape around us.
My pottery is designed to be part of your daily life, bringing calm and beauty to everyday rituals. Every mug, bowl, and vase carries its own story, crafted with care, intention, and a love of functional design.
Hello, I’m Phoebe, the potter behind Clay & Ball
I create my pottery from my studio in Wānaka, New Zealand, drawing inspiration from the landscape and the slower pace of life around me. I’m drawn to pieces that are simple, timeless and made to be used every day.
I started pottery in 2022 and, over time, what began as a hobby has grown into Clay & Ball — a small-batch ceramics studio creating functional pieces for everyday life.
Outside of the studio, I enjoy a slower, hands-on way of life. I spend my time baking, gardening, growing food and looking after our little collection of animals. That love of simple, everyday living naturally influences both my work and the way I run Clay & Ball.
Each piece is handmade in small batches using New Zealand stoneware clay.

I make simple, contemporary forms using natural glazes and New Zealand stoneware clay. Each piece is inspired by the environment - the colours, textures, and quiet rhythms of the outdoors.
