Clay and Ball is a ceramics studio nestled in the heart of Wānaka, New Zealand. Each piece is handmade from New Zealand stoneware clay, finished with natural, earthy glazes that reflect the textures, colours, and rhythms of the landscape around us.
Our pottery is designed to be part of your daily life, bringing calm and beauty to everyday rituals. Every mug, bowl, and vase carries its own story, crafted with care, intention, and a love of functional design.

Hello, I’m Phoebe, the potter behind Clay & Ball
I work from my studio in Wānaka, New Zealand, creating small-batch pottery inspired by the natural landscape and the slower rhythms of everyday life. When I’m not at the wheel, you’ll likely find me baking, spending time with family (including my dogs and chickens), or in the garden trying to grow food and live a more self-sufficient, sustainable life.
I began pottery in 2022, and since then my practice has grown into a collection of timeless, functional pieces designed to bring quiet beauty to everyday rituals.
Each piece is handmade in small batches using New Zealand stoneware clay.

I make simple, contemporary forms using natural glazes and New Zealand stoneware clay. Each piece is inspired by the environment - the colours, textures, and quiet rhythms of the outdoors.
